Before you spend alot of money blowing-up exhibits and mounting them on foam-board, call SOUSA first!  We'll teach you how to maximize digital files so you can carry in a CD to court instead of large, bulky exhibits.  With our laptop (or yours) and a projector, you can capture and retain the jury's attention during your argument, plus save time & money.

ELMOS & SMART Boards
What is an ELMO and SMART Board?

An ELMO is an overhead projector that works with paper, objects and computer files - not just transparencies.  It hooks up to a projector so the image shows on a screen for the courtroom to see. 

A SMART Board is an interactive, electronic white board that works with your finger as the mouse.  It hooks up to a laptop AND projector so the SMART Board becomes the "computer" that you operate with your finger.  It has electronic pens and an eraser.

Why would you use an Elmo or a SMART Board?

Lawyers use ELMOs and SMART Boards as visual tools to capture and retain the jury's attention.  Such details are hard to process if you're hearing it for the first time! 

Digital tools allow more flexibility than a foam-board exhibit.  Experts can circle critical areas in red pen with eletronic ink (it doesn't ruin the integrity of the exhibit or transcript) and email, save and/or print the files for the jury or judge during deliberation.

Since SOUSA already has the transcript plus exhibits on file, we can show you and your expert how to draw a circle on the SMART Board or place an object on the ELMO for all to see.

What are you worried about?

How am I going to "show this part of the exhibit" to the jury but trial is tomorrow?  CALL SOUSA and we'll prep the exhibit so you can simply open it on your laptop and it will be highlighted and zoomed in for all to see. 

I'm a solo-practicioner and don't have a paralegal or assistant to help me set up exhibits during my argument - what do I do?  CALL SOUSA and we'll show you how to set it up yourself or one of our trial helpers will go with you for a low fee.
